Welcome to ZipTrips. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ZipTrips mobile and web applications and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ZipTrips LLC ("ZipTrips," "we," "us," "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You create an account by verifying a mobile phone number via SMS one-time password (OTP). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity under it.
By providing your mobile phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from ZipTrips, including one-time verification codes used to sign in and account-security notifications. Message frequency depends on your usage — typically one message per sign-in attempt. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out at any time. Opting out of SMS will prevent you from signing in, since SMS verification is the sole authentication method.
You retain ownership of trip itineraries, descriptions, handles, and other content you create or upload ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant ZipTrips a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and share that content as needed to provide the Service — including, where you choose to make an itinerary public or shared, to other users and the general public.
You are responsible for your User Content and must not upload anything that infringes third-party rights, violates law, or is otherwise objectionable.

The Service integrates with third-party providers including Google Maps and Google Places (mapping and place data), Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Twilio (SMS delivery), Vercel (hosting), and Google Gemini (AI features). Your use of those features may be subject to the third party's terms in addition to these Terms.
Certain features (such as Tour Guide Mode) are offered as a paid subscription. Pricing and billing terms are presented at the point of purchase. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date through the respective app store (App Store or Google Play). Refunds are subject to those stores' policies.
The Service uses AI to generate trip plans, recommendations, and tour-guide content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. Always verify time-sensitive information (hours, prices, closures, safety conditions) independently before relying on it.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZipTrips LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve (12) months, or USD $50 if you have not paid us anything.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Any dispute shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Francisco County, California.
